Alterations of any size to an existing space: an extra wall, a new ceiling, new flooring, or several of these at once. Every project starts with clear agreements and ends with a tidy handover. Where the building stays in use, we work through it area by area and keep disruption for the occupants to a minimum.
This is how we originally started in 2004: with partition walls and ceilings.

A complete new fit-out, delivered as one integrated project up to the moment we hand over the keys. Where needed, it includes the building services as well. Where the client or an architect has already produced a design, our technical draughtsmen work it up in full detail. If there is no design yet, our designers visualise the brief through layouts, materials and 3D sketches.
Then we build it, with one dedicated project manager keeping the schedule, budget and quality on track.

One contract covers both design and construction. We start with the design and then take on everything that follows: engineering, building services, construction and interiors, until the space is ready to work in. We do this for 100 m² just as readily as for a large-scale renovation.
The process runs in six phases: vision & strategy, initial sketch design, fit-out planning, final design, engineering & construction, and handover.

We transform existing buildings for developers and property owners, in whole or in part. We bring our expertise in design, sustainability and redevelopment strategy into the delivery of each project. As main contractor, we also take the building services under our contract and coordinate every party involved, so the client has one point of contact for the entire project.
Examples in Amsterdam include B Vital (22,000 m²) and Acanthus (15,000 m², transformed inside and out). Several of our projects have achieved BREEAM Outstanding or WELL Gold.
Expertise
At Vega, a project is rarely just one thing. We design in-house, from the first sketch to a complete interior, and we are just as happy to work with and for architects, whether they come through us or from your own network. Design, pre-construction and construction are three separate services that you can combine as you like, from construction only to the full process including design. You decide where we come in.
We handle design from start to finish: our designers sit down with you to pin down your wishes and requirements, and turn them into a concept with its own signature style. Prefer to work with an architect from outside Vega? That works for us too. If you already have a designer on board, we pick up from their design and take it into pre-construction.

Our technical draughtsmen develop the design, our own or your architect's, down to the last detail. We draw up procurement lists, place orders and bring in suppliers and subcontractors, all to a tight schedule. That way, construction starts with a fully prepared project, whoever made the design.

Our project managers work closely with the site managers to keep the build running smoothly. We direct the teams we work with, such as plasterers, painters and floor layers, even when the design and preparation are already in place. We keep a close eye on quality and detail until the very last day.
